This may embarrass someone in the office right away.
Do you know that you are what you dress or how you dress? You dress matches your thoughts, character and intentions. Clothes is ideally what we are. People recall you by what you wear. That lady in read top, that man in black trouser etc.
But I think some clothes are not honourable. To our sister that wear the dress that are few inches to areas of nakedness or tops that covers virtually nothing what is the problem? It is common to see a lady in Nairobi with these type of dressing and you wonder what the intentions are. It is provocative and far from modesty. At times it does not obey the weather at all and it becomes embarrassing to the wearer as well as she struggle to pull it down. Surely you did not realise that it is all that short from the house? You are in the meeting and you are totally uncomfortable with you dress ? Are dress meant for this type of punishment? I dont think so.
Then some are too tight. You have to seek help in removing it and it exposes you as if you are not clothed. Others are so transparent. I dont need to say what you are showing people. But remember that you are in public and you need not do that.
It is good to dress well and dress to kill but don't kill yourself in the name of dressing.
I dont think this is right.

A spoon to eat fish? Not possible.
Hallo Kenyans let us be realistic!
If you want take tilapia with ugali in a hotel, it is advisable that you wash your hands and use the natural spoons(hands).
Many of us especially when on a date with a "sweety" to please try to do this using a spoon. It is a real struggle. You twist the spoon, the fork and the knife in all angles but nothing doing. There is no honour you are adding to youself by doing this. Hands eating is recommended for some foods but not the bonny tilapia.
Hahaha. kasiguganga has to say " be fair to youself and use your hands when eating tilapia; you will enjoy"

Pornographic kenyan matatus
This has never happened like this.
The matatus in Kenya along most of the eastlands, westlands and southland are out to drop this country in mass immorality.Would you belive that the matatus show live and hard pornographic picture right in front of the passengers. What is this suppose to mean? What message are we passing to the mail and female passengers watching this?
I cant believe this one!
Imagine you have just board a matatu with your daughter or son and that is what is infront of you. Pure, nude, unveiled and naked pornography shown live. This is the highest level of embarrassment you will encounter. But it is done by Kenyans for Kenyans.
I Kasigunga need to say "This is totally shameful manners"

Abusive language at a tender age
This will shock you to the centre hair on you head!
Children learn to abuse at very young age. Stupid is one of the first learnt words as the child starts to speak. But not all of them. These are the spoilt ones, the manners less and the indiscipline.
You call such a child and s/he responds"WHAT" in a big dad`s type voice the size of those capital letters. They disobey anyone and can abuse anyone. What a petty?
Who is to be blamed for this? Obviously it is the parents that are irresponsible and manner less. You will agree with me that such parents spare the rod from their arrogant children that they claim to love. Actually if you punish their children for use of abusive words on you, such parents will always defend the child.
"She is too young to know what she is saying; don`t mind she is still a kid" that is the response you get from the parent. Very shameful approach to parenthood.
Most of these abusive words that are freely used by young children are picked from the house at times. Do you know that we have families where conversation between the parents must be punctuated by few abusive words if not physical fight? They are many. As the dad calls the mum so the boy calls everybody? What a bad copy?
And that is why I kasigunga have to say to such parents" this is a shameful act" what do you say?

Koinange street.........Fridays
It is another Friday in Nairobi. One place that you will not like to visit today (especially with someone you respect; mother father, child) is Koinange street. This is a street in Nairobi Kenya that sex is "hawked" on the street.
Beautiful ladies with good professions, money, education and background line up to sell their bodies and men who would have been otherwise respected in our community are the buyers. It is one place in this country that prostitution and immorality is fully displayed. It is not an ordinary market because the buyers and sellers know them selves. You must pay some sort of goodwill (don't ask me home much) to be there.
This obviously is not good manners. What have these pretty ladies lack in life to do what they are doing? What are the justification of their act? Is it a sexually addiction syndrome that they are suffering from? Do they appreciate as they use the money got from such sources?
And I Kasigunga says " This is shameful manners". What do you say?

Manner checks
People are are different in the way they behave in public and social places. This is majorly because we are from different walks of life and background. However there are behaviours that are not acceptable in civilised communities though we see them from time to time.
This blog is new but will try to unearth and identify such manners that are not right in modern society. For example did you know that jumping queues are bad manners? How on earth would you get people lining up for services and you walk with open eyes passing everyone to the service point.
The blog will train you, create awareness and bring shame to some of the bad behaviour in our Kenyan society. The blog will invite creative and objective comments on the issues under debate. It will avoid use of personal name that may embarrass someone. The blogger (Kasigunga) will review the comments posted and may choose to delete such comments that do not meet the set standards of commenting in this blog.
Thank you and welcome
